J.d. Abrams, L.p.
J.D. Abrams builds the infrastructure that helps travelers drive across Texas. While highway and bridge construction projects from the Texas Department of Transportation make up the bulk of its construction work, the civil engineering and construction firm also works on flood control dams, reservoirs, waterways, railroad test track, airport taxiways, and other infrastructure projects in Texas and elsewhere in the Sun Belt. J.D. Abrams also operates two subsidiaries, Transmountain Equipment and Austin Prestress, which runs a concrete casting plant. Founded in 1966, the company operates from four Texas-based offices in Austin, Dallas, El Paso, and Houston.
